Doing More Together: BuildingForMinistry Breaks Ground

Creating space, engaging people, and transforming lives—that's the mission of BuildingForMinistry.com, a website created through a collaborative partnership between Christianity Today International and the Cornerstone Knowledge Network (www.theCKN.com). Christianity Today International is the publisher of Christianity Today, Leadership, Your Church, and Church Law & Tax Report, and Cornerstone Knowledge Network is comprised of a select group of companies that design and build churches and provide expert guidance through conferences and consultations.

BuildingForMinistry.com draws upon the ministry expertise and passion of both organizations to help churches utilize, design and build ministry space based on an understanding of cultural trends, church identity, and ministry vision. Our Editorial Advisor panel includes well-known leaders like Dave Ferguson, Sam Rainer, Ed Stetzer, and others. Cornerstone Knowledge Network co-founders, Ed Bahler and Bill Couchenour, will lead the conversation, so to speak, through a biweekly e-newsletter that points readers to new content on BuildingForMinistry.com.

"Our passion is to radically enhance ministry's impact in this dawning digital age," said Ed Bahler, co-founder of CKN. "We are dedicated to creating powerful resources for church leadership, as well as designing and constructing strategic church facilities."

On average, churches spend more than 30 percent of their budget on facilities. BuildingForMinistry.com helps churches invest that wisely and for maximum kingdom effectiveness--through ground-breaking research, downloadable training packs, articles, and video clips. "We exist to serve church leaders," said Kevin Miller, executive vice president of CTI, "so we have to help them with some of the biggest decisions they'll ever face."

You can expect to see articles and multi-media on BuildingForMinistry.com in these key areas:

Assess the Culture
Discern Your Call
Lead Your Team
Design Your Space
Build It Right
Learn From Others

Entries on the site are designed to encourage interaction among our visitors. We hope you'll weigh in early and often on the information that is shared on this site. Together, we can learn and grow and discover how best to be the Church.
